Financial support for a grieving local family

Whangarei, Northland

Luke and Deborah sadly lost their 10 year old son, Declan after a freak accident climbing a tree on their property. They have 5 other children to care for and another on the way. Funeral costs are at least $8,000, too! ACC will provide some financial support to the family, but would love to be able to take some further financial strain off the family so they can just concentrate on getting each other through this next season and spending time together.

Family friends... our children are close with the Halford kids and Declan was one of our son's best friends.

Use of funds

Any additional funeral costs, day to day family expenses and supplementing income to free family up to be together during this time.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Declan sounds very like my nephew. A smart, inquisitive, gem of a kid. My heart breaks for you. Trusting you to Gods goodness in any circumstance and his peace also. Blessings on you and your family.
