Help the Hobbit in Her Fight with Cancer

    Hi everyone,

    Every day Anna gets up and shows the world what strength and determination is. Never give up our brave hobbit!

    She has been through a lot recently and is continuing her brave journey: she went through the special high precision radiation treatment and is out of the hospital now.

    For the next three months she will be going through the dynamic light therapy which will further help reducing the risk of metastasis.

    She is doing a few more things approaching it holistically to ensure she is on track to get healthy and get to the life she desires as soon as possible.

    The good news is there are some subtle but very promising signs of healing which gives us all even more hope.

  • Not the update we were all hoping for

    Anna has successfully recovered from her surgery and radiotherapy and just started olaparib treatment. She was finally envisioning her life on the other side of the cancer journey. Then, suddenly, a few weeks ago her world was turned upside down. Anna started experiencing alarming symptoms: her body struggled to move properly, her eyesight blurred, and she was severely dizzy. The MRI results were devastating: the cancer had relapsed, spreading to her brain with two metastases. One of these is critically dangerous, located in her brain stem.

    Anna immediately sprang into action. After two weeks of tirelessly running between hospitals that hesitated to take on her severe case, she found a specialised clinic that will admit her today to start radiotherapy.

    This means that she'll need significant funds to cover the treatment and recovery expenses. She already paid 5K exhausting her savings and will need much more - around 25K.

    We are asking for your help once again. She is very strong and determined to win another battle but she can't do it along. Every contribution, big or small, will help her cover these vital costs and focus on her health.

  • Anna's Journey: The Latest News & A Wonderful Community Effort

    It's been a while, and we truly appreciate your continued support and care. Here's an update on Anna's journey since her surgery.

    We’re so happy to share that Anna recovered well from her surgery and has bravely completed her radiotherapy. Her beautiful hair is growing back as are her energy levels.

    We also wanted to highlight an amazing handmade greeting card workshop organised by one of Anna's incredible supporters. It had a massive response, and thanks to everyone who participated and/or donated, we collected almost a $900 in funds! This outpouring of love and support was deeply moving.

    The most recent and significant development is that Anna has just started her Olaparib treatment! This is a critical next step in her battle, with a minimum duration of 12 months. This life-sustaining medication costs $6,800 per month.

    On top of everything, Anna is still fighting the challenging post-effects of chemotherapy. This takes immense courage, time, and, of course, funds.

    We are once again asking for your incredible support to help our Hobbit. Every message of love and every donation helps lighten her load and fuels her fight. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for continuing to walk this journey with her.

  • Update on the Hobbit's Journey: First Surgery Complete

    I am happy to share that Anna has successfully completed her first surgery and is now recovering in the hospital. This follows the completion of her chemotherapy in December, marking two important milestones in her treatment.

    The next stage will depend on the biopsy results, which should arrive in a couple of weeks. We are hopeful as we wait for these results and remain incredibly grateful for all your support.
