Help the people of Kyiv to survive
International
This war is not visible from Aotearoa and it is not heard. The war is there, on the other side of the globe. The war is there - in Ukraine. There, patriots fight shoulder to shoulder defending their homeland. People just like you and I that just a month ago were focused on life, careers, and their dreams. They will win, no doubt.
I, Alexander Dymnikov, was born in Ukraine, and have made a home here in Aotearoa. I have relatives and friends there and it's too much to simply sit and watch and read the news over and over again. Therefore, I decided to help the people of Ukraine together with you.
Dressmakers Svetlana Ilina and Oleksandra Ilina, the owners of the Atelierr studio https://www.facebook.com/msi.atelierr/, before the war was engaged in sewing wedding dresses, men's suits and children's clothes. When the war will end, Svetlana will return to making beautiful garments. But for now, a team of ten workers, to the sound of exploding shells, voluntarily sew tactical chest rigs for their defenders. In the evening, after work, they need to feed their children, and there is no income for obvious reasons. Today people need to wear tactical clothing rather than a suit and tie.
We might be far from the sounds of shelling, but we are all human just the same. Any financial assistance will be serious support to these heroic women and all of Ukraine.
Friends for more than 25 years.
The money will be used to donate to Atelierr families to buy food and basic necessities.
Gratitude from the people of Kyiv 30 April 2022
During this month, we collected money and made the first transfer (4,000 NZD) to the wonderful people of Kyiv - workers from Atelierr studio.
Big thanks to all my friends and family who donated money. Special thanks to Jo and Rodney, who organised a fundraising evening at "Feet with Heat" dance studio.
The recipients of our help send us a video with words of gratitude from the bottom of their hearts.
