Nā runga i ngā whakaaro nui o tēna o tēna, e tuwhera ana te ngākau ki a koutou katoa. Nui te aroha ❤️
Our family is devastated after a tragic accident at home where our precious baby Laylah-Mae drowned in the pool at home and is now fighting for her life in Hospital. Currently awaiting if she will be transfered to Starship Hostpital in Auckland from Wellington Hostpital. Her mum remains by her side, while the rest of the family is distraught and urgently needs tautoko. With this tragedy, mum and dad have other tamariki to attend too and still be with their precious taonga, whilst she is fighting to stay with us, they will need everyones tautoko incase dad and her siblings will need to fly to Auckland to be with mum, and to help carry the burden of being in this heavy mamae, the exspenses are the last thing on your mind in these moments. Layla-May is a beloved daughter, sister, mokopuna, & niece deeply cherished by her whānau and wider whānau. Any koha, no matter the size, would mean the world to us; if you are unable to give, we humbly ask for your prayers, aroha, and support as we stand together for Laylah-Mae.
While government and hospital financial assistance may be available, this hasn't been explored yet. If the family are eligible for any assistance, it won’t cover all of the costs.
E haehae ana te ngākau, kei mahurangi kē te hirikapo. Homai te kaha kia hokihoki mai taku taonga ki au.

Rest in love our pēpī 12 January 2026
It is with great sadness that we the whānau inform you that our beautiful Laylah-Mae passed away this morning from her injuries.
She is with the coroner at this time and will return to her whānau soon. She will then travel back to Masterton where her tangihana will comence from there.
These funds will truely lift some of the burden off Gena & Kays shoulders. We thank you all so much for keeping our pēpī in your prayers, in your throughts and in your heart x
