The Viljoen family are fighting for NZ residency, during tough personal times.
Manawatu / Whanganui
The Viljoen family have been trying to make NZ their home for the past 8 years, but have encountered roadblocks every step of the way. Now the father, Gerhard is on borrowed time.
This page is to help relieve some financial stress for the family, with the money going towards their fight for residency, which includes application fees, medicals, and police clearance certificates. Theses costs all add up!
Petro, Gerhard, Adriaan and Rianie moved to NZ from South Africa to escape the deteriorating social climate, in hope of making our 'friendly and welcoming' country their forever home. Since then, New Zealand Immigration has said that the Dad, Gerhard (A taxi driver), and Mum, Petro (a social worker), did not have sufficient jobs to allow them residency, saying that their jobs were not 'exceptional or significant'. In addition to this, it was noted that immigration had issues with Petro's weight. They have already spent over $46,000 fighting for the right to call NZ home with no success.
Now another spanner in the works has been added as Gerhard has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. All the family wants is to focus on spending quality time with Gerhard while they can, without the added stress of thinking they will be kicked out of the country as soon as his time is up. The family are all such kind people and they deserve nothing but happiness. They would do anything for anyone and don't ask for anything in return. Its time for us to help them out.
Adriaan is one of my close friends that I went to high school with.
The money will go towards their costs related with residency applications. This includes application fees for immigration, lawyer fees, medicals, and Police clearance certificates from their home country.
