The covid border restrictions means both husband and wife have no work, no tourists
Auckland
For anyone who has enjoyed a holiday in Bali or other island getaways, please think about the people who now have no way of earning an income due to covid border restrictions.
Gede is fond of New Zealanders... he says his name is pronounced “Gidday”, kiwi for hello. He is a lovely family man, husband and father of four children. After driving for us in Bali, we met his wife Kadek and 4 kids and, amongst our seeming riches compared to them, they gave my daughter a present for her birthday 😊
If you would like to support other Balinese families, please go to Gede & Co to buy some handcrafted silver jewellery… or leave your kind donation here.
Our family met Gede and his family while on holiday in Bali and we’ve kept up via What’s App ever since.
Gede will use this money to provide food and staples for his family. I can send money to Gede through PayPal and it arrives instantly.
A year on 29 June 2021
Gede and his family continue to try to make ends meet, 15months after borders closed in Bali. This month Kadek, Gede’s wife and mother of four, flew to Albania to work in a hotel for a year, sending money back to her family. Could we raise enough to buy her a phone, so she can see and talk to her kids from afar?
Thanks a lot Jo, really appreciate your kind donation to keep this effort rolling :-)
Thanks for your generous donation Sonia!
Wow! Thank you so much Lara. Gede is thrilled!
