Thomas has qualified for Junior Worlds Powerlifting in Romania Hoping to compete however due to it being a non funded NZ sport restricts him

Competing at a high level in any sport is tough especially in sport where little to no recognition is expressed in New Zealand therefore it is non funded and Lifters have to self-fund despite representing their country.
I am an 18-year-old powerlifter from New Zealand who has won North Islands, Nationals and recently won the Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships and broke the deadlift world record for my division. I am now preparing to compete at the World Powerlifting Championships in Romania.
Unfortunately, I have little to no support or funding, and competing at a global level comes with significant expenses.
All funds will support travel (Plane tickets costing up to 4.5 Grand), accommodation and basic needs such as a food
