Saving our beloved friend and family member, Tigger
Mellons Bay, Auckland
Our beloved Tigger has been battling with a kidney infection, kidney stones, a major surgery and now needs one more surgery to ensure he will be a happy healthy cat.
Unfortunately, the cost of specialist surgery is expensive. So far I have spent $20,000 on my little baby.
The banks won't loan me any more money.
The surgery Tigger had is called a PU Surgery.
A perineal urethrostomy (sometimes referred to as a PU) is a surgical procedure that is most commonly performed on male cats with a urinary obstruction. This procedure removes the narrowest part of the urethra (the tube that transports the urine from the bladder to the exterior of the body), allowing easier urination with a lower risk of re-obstruction.
Generally, most cats don't continue to have issues after this surgery.
In Tigger's case, he was part of the 2% that still needs another surgery for him to be able to be happy and healthy again.
He needs a Transpelvic Urethrostomy - which will remove this issue for good.
Every little bit helps,
Please help!
