Helping to raise funds in support of our family during this time.
Masterton, Wellington
On Tuesday 4th October our beloved 15 year old cousin Luca and another person, were involved in an explosion on a farm in Akitio. Unfortunately as a result of the impact, the two were trapped inside the workshop while it was burning to the ground. Two emergency rescue helicopters landed and airlifted them to Wellington yesterday afternoon. Both of them have suffered serious injuries and are now in ICU with 40-60% of their bodies burned. Luca is such an incredible young adult who now has a long recovery ahead of him, we as a family are in complete disbelief and shock. 20 year old Freya (Luca's sister) was the first and only witness to the scene. She managed to get both of the boys onto a 4 wheeler and transport them back to the house where she placed them in a cold shower until emergency services arrived. Her quick thinking and heroic acts have played a huge roll in the severity of their injuries and we as a family cannot thank her enough. We ask that you please help to support our family during this time by donating as little or as much as you can, absolutely anything is hugely appreciated. Thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in this tragedy, let's get our boy back to health. ❤️
ACC will also provide some financial support to the family.
Thank you.
