I am ecstatic to have been selected to represent NZ in my first senior international swim meet, the 2024 World Championships in Budapest.

I am ecstatic to have been selected to represent New Zealand in my first senior international swim meet. It is especially special with it being the World Championships. These are being held in Budapest this December. Even though I am representing New Zealand at a World Championships it is purely self-funded. It is only 2 months from announcement of the team to racing, which adds pressure to raise the funds.
At 19 years old this is just the beginning of my senior international swimming career.
I started my swimming journey at 8 years old competing for Jasi Swim Club. I still swim for Jasi, under the amazing talented head coach and mentor Peter Burgon (Born2Swim). Without the support and guidance of Peter the other Jasi coaches, SCWC volunteers, and my teammates, I would not have gotten to where I am today, and have this amazing opportunity.
This racing opportunity does come with a cost of roughly $10,000. I am trying to cover as much of the expenses myself, but I do require help from my supporters. Any help that you can provide will be greatly appreciated and I would be sincerely grateful.
When I am not swimming training (9 pool & 3 gym sessions per week) I attend the University of Canterbury as a first-year student studying Criminal Justice. I also compete at surf lifesaving for Waimairi Surf Lifesaving.
Thank you for your support whether it is financial or kind words. It all helps me to pursue my passion for swimming and competing and to achieve my goals and ambitions.
