Just an update on how the new injections are going.
So far so good I’m not in pain anymore and it seems to be starting to thin it down still early days but I’m happy with the progress so far. I’m for ever grateful with all the help and support I’ve had.
Fingers crossed it keeps on working and getting better
I know it’s been a bit of a waiting game for my next step I’ve had lots of support, help and donations for loads of people.
Last Friday I managed to have an appointment at the Tauranga skin centre with a visiting doctor from USA, he put me on the next step of medications called “Cosentyx”. I have to inject myself every week with 2 injections for 5 weeks then after that 2 every month hopefully this will give me relief. Lucky New Zealand has a decent health system with paying for the medication cause in USA it costs them a lot around $5400 in this article https://www.drugs.com/price-guide/cosentyx

On a bright side I had a interview with a reporter from The Weekend Sun and it is available this weekend on page 7 so if you haven't seen it, hunt one down and have a look it might be available on line to so I'll post a link when it comes up
I attended at P3 Research Friday morning and started going through the process and unfortunately at this moment I can't go on the trial. Bit disappointed at the moment not sure where to go from here as its getting quite sore. P3 said I can try again as its getting worse again in a months time if there's any spaces available, as it is a world wide trial and spaces are at the end so I might miss out.
Thanks for the pics and I have forwarded on them to our Doctor who seems to think it’s definitely worthwhile seeing you on the 4th October for the screening visit.

I have also had confirmation that all dermatology appts at Tauranga Hospital have been cancelled as there is no available dermatologist at this stage. They are waiting for a Locum Doctor to arrive for a short period. This is really unfortunate for Tauranga and hopefully they can remedy quickly.
I've gotten in touch with a research company that's doing a drug trial for Psoriasis.
I've got an appointment on Friday 4th next month to see if I qualify for the study. It's will mean I'll have to take some time off work so your donations have helped out a lot.
