Can you help Uniting Canterbury Women stay afloat and keep doing its important mahi connecting amazing wahine across all cultures?
Canterbury
Since we founded Uniting Canterbury Women five and a half years ago, we've loved creating connection and community for women of all ethnicities through multiple events (including our epic Around the World in Eight Cafe lunches and our live and online Tea for Three events) as well as sharing events for women plus stories and videos about amazing women in our community through our thriving Facebook page (with over 1700 likes!), our newsletter, and our website.
Our volunteer hours combined with the awesome support from sponsors who support our community events and newsletter, allows us to make all our offerings to women in our community for FREE - making them accessible to all.
However... there is one area where we need a little help!
It is SUPER HARD to get funding for the nuts-and-bolts behind the scenes stuff that keeps Uniting Canterbury Women running - our Mailchimp and Zoom subs, bank fees, website and email hosting, domain name renewal and Eventbrite fees. We'd also love to pay our FREE (and amazing) web-guy Jorge something for all the work he does for us too. All these behind the scenes costs add up to around $1,500 per year, so it is our goal to raise at least $2,000 to keep us going until the end of 2025.
Can you help? Perhaps you have attended one of our events and enjoyed it and would be happy to donate a small sum to support us?
We would SO appreciate any support so we can keep doing the things we love - connecting amazing wahine in our gorgeous community! Thank you! Jo
The money will be spent on our monthly behind-the-scenes operating expenses (for the next year-plus) which are vital to keep us running - Mailchimp and Zoom subs, bank fees, website and email hosting, domain name renewal and Eventbrite fees.
