Supporting Dad through aggressive cancer treatment and helping our family bring him home to Wellington.
Wellington
Our family is going through something we never imagined we would have to face.
Our Dad Paul has been battling an incredibly aggressive cancer, which has now returned for the third time. He travelled to Melbourne for treatment and we were hopeful there were still options available to him.
Unfortunately, over the past three weeks, his health has deteriorated very quickly. We’ve now been told the cancer has spread and is extremely aggressive and active. Dad is currently in ICU in Melbourne undergoing emergency surgery.
Right now, there is still so much uncertainty about what happens next and whether Dad will be well enough to come home to Wellington. More than anything, we want to give him every possible chance to get home and be surrounded by family.
We’ve created this page to help take some of the financial pressure off Mum so she can stay by Dad’s side. Funds will help with accommodation, flights between New Zealand and Australia, transport, everyday expenses and any unexpected costs that arise.
If Dad is able to come home, funds may also help with whatever travel arrangements are needed to get him back to Wellington safely.
Any donation, share or prayer means more to our family than we can put into words.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
I am the beneficiary’s daughter, and I’m creating this page together with my siblings to support Dad and Mum during this time.
Funds will be used to help cover accommodation, flights between New Zealand and Australia, local transport, and everyday living expenses while Mum stays with Dad. If Dad is well enough to return home to Wellington, funds may also be used towards any associated travel costs.
