Help a young disabled entrepreneur raise $25,000 to secure a home for an inclusive community bike hub making cycling accessible for everyone
Waikato
My name is Liam Carter, and I’m a young disabled Kiwi entrepreneur with a big dream: to make cycling accessible for everyone.
Living with cerebral palsy has given me a personal understanding of the barriers people with disabilities face. Instead of accepting those barriers, I decided to do something about them. That’s why I founded Ride Your Trike NZ.
What started as a dream has grown into a business helping people access adaptive trikes, e-bikes, and mobility products. Through our Try a Trike programme, we’ve helped people across the Waikato experience the freedom and joy of cycling.
Now, I’m ready for our next big step: securing a permanent home for Ride Your Trike NZ.
I’m raising $25,000 to help cover the lease costs for a community bike hub where people can discover adaptive cycling, try different bikes and trikes, access servicing, and find a welcoming space where everyone belongs.
This is about more than a bike shop. It’s about independence, inclusion, and creating opportunities for people who are too often overlooked.
As a young disabled founder, I’m determined to prove that disability doesn’t have to stop you from building something meaningful. But I can’t do this alone.
Every donation, big or small, brings us closer to making this dream a reality. If you can’t donate, sharing our story would mean just as much.
Together, we can build a more accessible future, one ride at a time.
Thank you for believing in our vision.
