Help Us Build The Harmonic Hive - A Roaming Bee Classroom

Imagine a classroom that travels directly to children - bringing bees, microscopes, biodiversity, science and resilience learning to their school.

Bee Resilient is raising funds to create The Harmonic Hive, a purpose-built mobile bee and biodiversity classroom that will travel to schools and communities across Aotearoa.

Built on a towable trailer, the Hive will open into an immersive learning space where children can safely experience the world of pollinators. Inside will be microscopes, an observation hive, sensory equipment, bee suits, interactive science activities and technology allowing students to explore the sounds and vibrations of a working hive.

The classroom will also incorporate solar power and external hive compartments, creating a practical, sustainable teaching environment that can go wherever it is needed.

Our goal is to make environmental education hands-on, memorable and accessible — particularly for schools without access to specialist bee and biodiversity programmes.

Funds raised will help us design, build and equip The Harmonic Hive, including the trailer, fit-out, solar system, teaching equipment, microscopes, observation hives, bee suits and learning resources.

This is about more than bees. It is about helping children understand the connection between people, pollinators and planet and showing them that even the smallest actions can create meaningful change.
