Hi everyone,
Just a quick update on Belinda.
Belinda is doing well under the circumstances. She is currently spending time with her mom and sister in Nelspruit.
My heart aches for her and Johan as he had to leave her behind in South Africa due to work commitments, these two soulmates are inseparable and this is the longest they have been apart from each other. I think not knowing what the future holds makes it even more difficult but we will keep on praying, Belinda will keep on fighting and we are positive.
Belinda’s cancer treatment is once every 8 weeks. Her next treatment is due on 15 March and the doctor will do a scan to see if the treatment is working - once she has recovered. As far as I know she has to isolate for 4 days after a session.
The oncologist did a blood test recently and he is happy with her liver function, which is great news, as the cancer in her liver is very aggressive.
Belinda will only return to New Zealand in July after completing 4 cancer treatment sessions.
I would just like to give a special thank you to the South African Church in Whangarei and Biltong Plus in Wellsford. You have been so supportive, no words can explain my gratitude. Whilst we had flooding and placed under a State of Emergency in New Zealand, they offered their time to sell boerewors rolls to raise funds for Belinda. Actions speaks louder than words and your support has given Belinda so much hope. Thank you!
To be a immigrant in another country is hard and to be diagnosed with a terminal illness without the support of family nearby, makes it even harder but the support from everyone who has donated has given so much hope and I just want to thank everyone on this page for this.
Thank you for your donations and thank you for sharing Belinda’s page! ❤️
