A little update on our fundraising target.
5 October 2026You may have noticed we’ve increased our Givealittle goal from $10,000 to $25,000, and we wanted to explain why rather than quietly move the goalposts.
When we launched, we deliberately set a conservative $10,000 target. We knew it was a big ask and genuinely had no idea how people would respond.
$25,000 has always been the amount we’re trying to raise towards the campaign’s external hard costs. That hasn’t increased and what your donations are funding hasn’t changed. We simply chose not to ask our community for the full amount at the outset.
As we’ve shared, an extraordinary amount of professional time, expertise and specialist work is being donated completely pro bono. None of the money raised will pay for that work. But there are unavoidable third-party costs involved in bringing the campaign to life, and those are what we’re fundraising for.
Givealittle also isn’t our only avenue. We’re actively pursuing other funding and support rather than expecting our community alone to carry the cost.
We started at $10,000 because $25,000 felt enormous, especially when we can’t yet reveal what we’re creating.
Then you surprised us.
Your incredible response has given us the confidence to aim for the full amount.
So we’re going for it: $25,000.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared and supported us. You’re helping us create something we genuinely believe will make people sit up and take notice of what’s happening to our kids.
