    💙 Update on Tim

    Hi everyone,

    We just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported us so far – your kindness, donations, meals and messages mean more than we can put into words.

    Recently we held our “Wax for Tim” charity event at Huapai Tavern – and wow, what a day! There was laughter, a few winces, and a lot of chest hair sacrificed for a good cause. We were blown away by the turnout.

    On the health front, Tim has his third chemotherapy treatment tomorrow.. It’s tough – the fatigue, the side effects – but he’s facing it with courage and determination. Knowing we have so much love and support behind us gives him strength on the harder days.

    Your donations help us cover the significant costs of treatment and help with our daily living costs, plus give us breathing space to focus on what matters most – time together. If you weren’t able to make it to the event but would still like to help, donations through this page are still very much appreciated.

    Sunday, 03 August 2025 - 12:00pm at the Huapai Tavern (319 State Highway 16, Kumeu 0810) for a hilarious and heartfelt charity event in support of our beloved Tim Butt, who is bravely fighting stage 4 metastatic colon cancer.

    We’re rallying behind Tim with love, laughter… and a bit of pain! 💙

    Our wonderful (and very hairy) neighbour Dave has offered to get waxed live — all for the cause and your entertainment!

    🧼 Expect laughs, community spirit, raffles, and donations on the day.

    We are so incredibly grateful for the love and support we’ve received.

    Every kind message, every warm meal, every donation — it all means the world to us.

    Tim has started chemotherapy treatment and we’re holding on to hope — hope that the treatment helps us get more time to look at other treatments, more memories, and more strength to keep fighting.

    This is an incredibly tough time, but knowing we’re surrounded by such an amazing community makes all the difference.

    We want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported us during this incredibly difficult time—whether through a donation, a message, a meal, or simply your love and presence. 💛

    As we only found out less than 3 weeks ago that Tim has Stage 4 Metastatic Colon Cancer, this is just the beginning of a devastating and life-changing journey for us - but your kindness, compassion, and support have made it just a little bit easier to bear.

    The generosity and love we’ve received have been overwhelming in the best possible way. Every single act of support reminds us that we’re not alone—and that means more than we can ever put into words.
