    We are so very thankful for all of the support, well wishes & check in's, it is so appreciated. Owen is recovering well from surgery and is now back home in New Zealand where he is preparing for the next stage of chemotherapy.

      Hi Owen.

      Glad to hear the operation went well and you are out the other side. I too have the GCA (found via a appendix removal in September this year) Fortunately/unfortunately it was decided that I was not eligible for the HIPEC op due to my age, so chemo it is.

      So here we are, the 2 in 4 million with this thing this year in NZ, like being famous really, we should tour the country when it's all over.

      I had CGA diagnosed after a hard road in February 2024

      Had 2 surgeries and 1 terrible attempt at chemo but seem to be doing well

    Update from Clair;

    A massive thank you to the kindness and generosity shown to us, we arrived in Sydney last weekend and Owen underwent surgery with Professor Morris yesterday.

    He is up and ready for the next steps of chemotherapy and recovery.

    We are very thankful to everyone who has supported, contributed and sent well wishes.

    Please continue to keep Owen in your thoughts on the road to recovery.

    Owen and Clair are heading to Australia in the next 2-3 weeks for Owie’s surgery.

      Hi

      I came across the news about Owen today only. I thought messaging because i had gone through a very similar stage of gcc appendix few years ago at my age of 34. Very lucky it is diagnosed and a treatment plan made. Very hard to diagnose usually.
