HELP US SAVE MILO!

Milo was attacked by three much larger dogs when we were walking him around the neighbourhood on August 9th. He was severely injured, and there was blood pouring out of his wounds, so we immediately rushed him to an emergency vet. His belly had been torn open, and his body had been punctured in multiple places. There were holes in his diaphragm, liver, and kidney. Milo went through multiple surgeries on Friday afternoon, stitching his entire body up, but despite his wounds being closed, Milo remains in an incredibly vulnerable state, and is currently in a hospital ward for close examination. Despite all this he’s been a trooper, got mauled by 3 big dogs never asked for any of this.

He is our greatest companion. He joined our family when I was 9 years old, and has since, bought joy and warmth to our hearts everyday.

Despite being warned of the expensive treatment, we could not let him go without putting up a fight.

I am currently a working student, earning just under $150 per week, and both my parents have worked tremendously hard to save funds for my university endeavours next year.

After one day, Milo’s treatment has reached $9600 which was paid upfront coming from the university funds. The overall cost is still unknown, but estimated to cost over $15000 with future checkups required.
