Last weekend turned out to be much more challenging than we expected. Dad hit a few bumps in the road which meant his treatment plan had to be adjusted while the team focused on getting him well enough to continue.

Since then, he’s spent a lot of time in hospital receiving treatment, antibiotics, fluids and plenty of TLC from the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him. It’s been a tough week, but we’re very grateful for the care he’s received and the way the team has worked together to get things back on track.

The good news is that Dad has now had his chemotherapy and is feeling much more comfortable than he was a few days ago. The focus now is on continuing to build his strength and health while we wait for the next stage of the CAR-T process, which we’re hopeful is only a couple of weeks away.

Thank you to everyone who has kept Dad and our family in your thoughts🧡🥰

    Love Corrinne & Family💖

A little update from Shanghai 🇨🇳

We flew into Shanghai on Sunday and it’s been all go ever since. Dad was admitted to hospital on Monday and has spent the last few days undergoing what feels like endless tests, scans, blood work and assessments to make sure he is well enough to move forward with treatment.

We’re relieved to say that he has been cleared to proceed, and today marks the start of the T-cell collection process for his CAR-T treatment 🙌👏

It’s been a huge few days, navigating a new country, a different healthcare system, and trying to take in so much information at once, but we’re incredibly grateful to be here and finally taking these next steps.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, donated, shared our story, and checked in along the way. Your support helped get us here and we are so thankful for it.

There’s still a long road ahead, but for now we’re focusing on one step at a time and celebrating the wins when they come.

Love from Corrinne and family 💖

  • 💙 A quick update on Dad’s journey 💙

It’s been a busy and emotional week for our family, but we’re finally starting to get over some hurdles.

Unfortunately, a delay with travel documentation meant we were unable to fly out last weekend as planned. While it was incredibly disappointing at the time, we’ve spent the week working through everything needed to get Dad’s treatment journey back on track.

The good news is that we are now almost ready to go and are aiming to fly to Shanghai next Saturday, where Dad will begin the next stage of his treatment journey.

In the meantime, Dad has started additional chemotherapy here in New Zealand to help keep the lymphoma under control while we finalise the last few pieces of paperwork and travel arrangements. Despite everything, he continues to face each day with determination and strength.

This journey has certainly had its ups and downs, but we are feeling positive that we are getting closer to the treatment we have been fighting so hard to access.

To everyone who has donated, shared our story, sent messages, checked in, or simply kept Dad in your thoughts - thank you. The support from our community has helped carry us through some very difficult days.

We are hopeful, determined, and doing everything we can to get Dad to Shanghai as quickly as possible.

We are hopeful that the next update will be from Shanghai. Thank you for continuing to walk this journey with us.

    Corrinne and Family ❤️

  • Thank you and a small update from us 🧡

      20 May 2026

Just a small update from us all 🤍

Firstly, thank you honestly does not feel enough. The support, donations, shares and messages over the past few days have completely overwhelmed our family in the best possible way.

We have now completed specialist consultations with hospitals in Shanghai regarding Dad’s CAR-T treatment pathway. While there are still many decisions and logistics to work through urgently, both teams have confirmed Dad is currently still considered a candidate for CAR-T therapy, which has given us a lot of hope.

The last few days have been an emotional rollercoaster with new symptoms, hospital visits and a lot of unknowns, but we are continuing to push forward one step at a time.

Thank you again for standing behind Dad and our family through all of this. Every single share, donation and message truly means more than we can put into words 🤍

    Corrinne
