Help Yamato represent NZ in Japan for the Asia Africa Pacific Powerlifting Champs

Hey there, my name is Yamato. I'm a 19-year-old university student based in Auckland with the honour of representing New Zealand on the international stage.

On July 11th, I will be competing at the Asia, Africa, Pacific Powerlifting Championships in Japan, proudly wearing the silver fern.

My powerlifting journey began in 2023, winning a national title in the Sub-Junior age class and subsequently representing my country on the world stage in Malta last year, where I placed 4th and broke 3 Oceania records in the U74 Sub-Junior class. Although this is my first year as a junior (aged 19-23 class), I am not shying away from international competitions as I have managed to qualify for the APAC competition in Japan!

However, international competition comes with significant costs, including flights, accommodation, competition fees, and team tracksuits - none of which are funded.
