Help young Hamilton dad of two to beat a double cancer diagnosis!
Hamilton, Waikato
After heading in to a specialist to get some acid reflux symptoms looked at, our life has been turned completely upside down.
We received the news of a dual cancer diagnosis….
We are a hard working local hamilton family of 4.
Mum, Dad (Daniel) and two young boys.
Dad is now facing a rare complex bone cancer tumor called Chordoma, which affects one in one million people. Alongside a secondary diagnosis for Colon cancer. At the same time!
Time is of the essence to start a treatment plan. The case is with the Multidisciplinary Team and we are looking at what is available in New Zealand and hope to start treatment here soon. But we are also aware of the high reoccurrence rates and the most effective treatment for Chordomas can be proton beam therapy (PBT) as it protects critical surrounding organs and doesn’t damage good tissue and organs. This is not available in New Zealand and would likely need to be done in Singapore/ USA/ UK.
Please help us to raise this money so that there is no delays with treatment, so we can get the best treatment and so our young boys have a chance to spend many more years with their dad ❤️💙 please 🙏🏼
Treatment costs including travel and arrangements to clinical centres in Singapore for proton beam therapy ($100k - $150k). Update TBC.
To support the family with costs through this extremely difficult period; utilities, insurance, accommodation, food etc
