Help a young Kiwi scientist attend LIYSF to represent NZ, explore science and give back to the future
Auckland
My name is Caitlin Ying Chen, and I am a 17 year old student with a deep passion for science. Recently, I was honoured at the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards for achieving top marks in my 2024 Cambridge exams, an achievement that reflects my dedication to learning and discovery.
However, like many young scientists, I face a challenge: choosing the right field of science to pursue. With so many fascinating areas to explore, I want to hear from world renowned scientists, and engage with like-minded students from across the globe. The London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) is the perfect opportunity for this.
Attending LIYSF would allow me to represent New Zealand on an international stage while expanding my scientific knowledge. More importantly, I am committed to bringing back what I learn to inspire and contribute to New Zealand’s future in science. By supporting me, you’re not just funding a trip, you’re investing in a young scientist who wants to give back to her country.
Every contribution, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to this life-changing experience. Thank you for believing in me and in the power of science to shape the future!
