My fiance has had spine/neck surgery. please help him on his road to recovery.
Manawatu / Whanganui
My lovely fiance Neil sadly damaged his spine at a Trampoline park he had a C3/4 disc prolaspe with severe damage to his spinal cord. He had surgery and is lucky to be walking. He suffers daily from acute pain, altered sensations and clonus.
His goal is to be able to provide for his family by working from home.
I'm involved because I am Neil's fiance, I have been with Neil during his accident, through the surgery and his slow recovery. It is heartbreaking to see a loved one who was so vibrantly fit and healthy and who helped others now struggle with day to day tasks that we often take for granted. Neil was and is too proud to ask for help so i'm doing it as I wish to see him back at work doing what he loves.
To provide Neil with a home office space so he can work from home. It will also help with long term medical costs, such as physio and medication that is not subsidised.
The funds will also cover some of the loss of income and help relieve the financial burden.

Thankyou to all the people who have donated to help Neil. He is still recovering
slowely but surely, Neil is still unable to work and has just been given the go ahead for some physio, he was to have another operation before Christmas but the surgeon has put it off for another 6months as they are hoping it won’t be necessary.
Neil has had awesome support from his family. He looks great, however he still has a way to go yet, we hope that his pain will lesson as this is at the moment the biggest challenge.
Neil knows that he will never completely recover because of his spinal cord damage, however he is walking and is grateful every day for this.
Carrie 😊
