Who would rip off Santa at Christmas??

$930 of $3,000 goal
Given by 31 generous donors in 17 days

A great guy who gives a lot to his community (and who is really Santa), got his "sack" stolen while helping someone out...how rude is that?

Wellington

Chris is a very community-spirited man who actually conceals his real identity (He Is Santa) for most of the year, then he gets real busy about December. But keep that quiet, we don't want the kids to know. Sadly whilst helping out a friend working for free on his film shoot, his Santa Sack, er I mean bag, was stolen from what was supposed to be a secure room. Apart from containing some sentimental and expensive items, they stole his Mac which has so much on it, it's heartbreaking.

This is more than just an old laptop, this is his no. 1 work tool and he uses it to write books, music, films and edits music videos, edits voiceovers, the list goes on and without it...well let's just say Santa's not going to be having a very merry Christmas at all.

This guy is always helping others out, locals, kids, schools, mates anyone who needs it. They are even selling off household items to try and cover Christmas and New Year and it just sucks.

So, I thought perhaps if people could literally just give a little...we can help out some folks who really need it this time of year.

If you can run to a couple of bucks...Chris, and his family, will be eternally grateful..(he's not used to be on the receiving end so he's a bit embarrassed about this)...but you know what? It's about community spirit and helping someone in need so I hope you can help them. PS that really is him in the Santa Suit, the rest of the year he just pretends to be Chris!

All funds will be used to replace stolen items.

Chris is part of my great community and does a lot for others, it would be nice to be able to help someone who usually does the helping.

Thank you all so, so much.  10 January 2017

To everyone who was so generous, thank you so very much. $930 for "Santa" meant that he covered all of his losses in terms of what insurance wouldn't pay out and excesses etc. He is happy to report that his new Mac is on its way and he is most appreciative to everyone who was so kind and donated. So, give yourselves a big ol' pat on your back and thank you again. You made the difference...you truly did.
