Go on New Zealand have a heart and LET’S HELP CONNOR KICK CANCERS BUTT!
Wellington
Connor Buckley is a bright young man of 17 years, who is currently studying electrical engineering at Whitireia Polytechnic. On the 13th February 2015 he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma (a rare form of bone and soft tissue cancer) when he had a tumour removed from his lower back.
Four years ago, when Connor was 13 and in his first month of high school at Tawa College, he was diagnosed with a growth hormone producing Pituitary Tumour. Connor had 3 surgeries between 2011 and 2013 to remove this tumour; he also underwent other treatment for excessive growth hormone production. This caused major disruption to Connors education and he missed more than half of his secondary schooling due to ill health. Already this has taken its toll in financial, emotional and physical terms on Connor and his whole family. It breaks my heart that they have to go through this all AGAIN!
Connors treatment plan is 6 rounds of Chemotherapy with 5 different drugs followed by surgery, which may be overseas as there are no Sarcoma specialists in New Zealand. Then another 8 rounds of Chemotherapy.
This recent diagnosis of Ewing Sarcoma is yet another stress on this already exhausted family. Their resources are running thin physically, emotionally and financially. The money raised will not only help Connors parents Julie and Pat, and siblings Tash and Keegan to be with Connor throughout his ordeal but will also help fund natural and complimentary treatments to ease the harsh side effects of the chemotherapy regime he has already started.
Funds raised will be paid to a verified bank account of the Buckley Family.

I work with Pat every day and I can see how this is taking its toll on Connor and the rest of the family. The Buckley’s have a huge amount of people that care and want to help ease the burden, so I would like to provide a practical way for people to do this. We are all thinking of you Connor, Pat, Julie, Tash & Keegan.
