We are appealing for financial assistance to help Craig so he can race at the NZ Short Course National Champs in August 2015.
Auckland
Craig is 16 years old and is a Competitive Swimmer and Classical Pianist. As a competitive swimmer he has been training and competing for a year and his potential to go far was recognised immediately by his coach. Craig is very dedicated to his training and is at Nationals level already. His short term goal is to qualify for NZ Opens and his long term goal is to represent New Zealand at the Olympics. Craig is also a Classical Pianist and has been studying since he was 8 years old. His goal with piano is to be a Music Composer. Craig is part Maori/Samoan and European and a good role model for young children. He is very well mannered and volunteers as an assistant swimming coach to the juniors. I am his mother and I have an illness that puts me in hospital and restricts me from working full time. As a result my income is minimal making it financially difficult to help Craig with his away swim meets. He has the potential to go far with his swimming and it would be much appreciated to have some financial assistance so Craig can race at NZ Short Course Nationals in August 2015. He deserves to race because he has trained very hard for this.
Funding will be used to pay back Papakura Swimming Club for NZ Div 2 Nationals swim meet expenses. This included airfares, accommodation, food and transport.
I am Craig Cameron's mother Christina Cameron and I am trying to raise funds so that my son can race at the NZ Short Course National Champs. He has the potential to go far and his long term goal is to represent NZ at the Olympics. I believe he can achieve this goal as he trains very hard and is dedicated to swimming.
