Please help my Grandmother receive treatment and live her remaining months in comfort.
Auckland
Eileen Marbeck is our 74-year-old Grand-Mother who by any measure has drawn the short straw in life.
Her Daughter, and our Mother – Sara Niethe was declared missing in 2003 and has never been found.
Eileen took on the responsibility of raising us Grandchildren and carried with her a lot of responsibilities and stress that a woman her age would not normally bare, not to mention the pain and confusion as a result of her missing daughter that would eat away at her slowly but surely. And yet because of the nature of the situation she still to this day holds some hope that her daughter may return home.
This has taken a huge toll on her health and over the last 10 years or so it is hard to say whether she has spent more time in hospital or out for various reasons including but not limited to Crohns disease, Colostomy, and now Cancer. She has been given 3 months to live and has expressed that she would like to undergo chemotherapy treatment. Because this is her choice I will do my best to make sure that she can follow through with it.
Her home is also in desperate need of maintenance to bring it up to a standard where she can live in it and/or so that it may be sold/rented, all depending on what she chooses to do with it.
This page has been created by her three Grandchildren in an attempt for us to give back to her by helping her receive the treatment she wants and so that she might have a comfortable place to live out the remainder of her life. Any donations will be greatly appreciated, Thank you.

Payee Update 19 April 2017
When the page was set up we nominated our Grandmother, Eileen, as the recipient of the funds as she is the intended sole benefactor. However with the help of givealittle we have changed the Payee details so that funds can be paid to me, Dion, her Grandson. This is simply to make it easier for us organisationally and to place less demand on her :)
