Laser surgery costs for Estelle

Estelle has a rare neurological condition called Sturge Weber Syndrome. Part of this syndrome has caused delayed learning, delayed physical development, glaucoma, seizures, brain involvement and a very large port wine stain birthmark which covers 90% of her head and face as well as half of her body. Funds raised will help us cover the costs of the non funded treatments. The DHB fund 4 sessions and we have been told she needs around 50 treatments, 20 within the next few years and 3-4 per year ongoing to help lighten and keep the birthmark smooth and healthy. Most importantly to help Estelle look and feel the best she can.

As parents, we want our little girl to fit in and feel confident with others. Onlookers, although don't mean to stare often do. This causes distress not only for us as parents but also to Estelle and her 3 big brothers.

Fantastic results so far 28 March 2019
A big thank you to all who have supported us so far. Estelle has had 5 laser sessions and the results are really encouraging. We are hoping to get a few done this year and are waiting for the call up. Estelle has now started school, and is enjoying her new environment. The redness on her face is still prominent and this is the one thing that makes her stand out. Please help Estelle, so she can just be another little girl who doesn’t look any different than anybody else. Our family thank you for taking the time to read this and helping our little girl.
