Please help Greg and his wife Fran and their two little ones to battle financial trauma as they struggle to face frontal lobe syndrome
Auckland
Greg is a true 40 year old kiwi through and through. Up until a few years ago you would find him in the bush hunting or on the sea fishing, a true hunter and gatherer. Five years ago he finally met the catch of his life, Frances. They married and have 2 beautiful children; Cameron aged 6 months and Lauren age 2.
Last month Greg was diagnosed with a rare condition of frontal lobe syndrome secondary to slumping brain. The illness Greg has is very rare and there is no cure, it is a cruel debilitating illness that subjects Fran and the children to slowly watch him deteriorate. The illness has physical torments of vomiting, lethargy and extreme painful headaches. The emotional side is perhaps worse with behavioral issues, forgetfulness and no regard for safety. As a result Greg a self-employed builder, has had to give up his business. He is not allowed to be alone, especially with his own children. A true kiwi bloke who has lived his life for hunting and fishing has had to surrender his firearm and licenses including his driver’s license. In the midst of all this poor Fran is extremely distressed as she struggles to take care of Greg and the 2 little ones. They are in desperate financial stress and the bills keep rolling in. This couple are a fantastic couple and it is truly heart breaking to watch them suffer like this. Greg will continue to deteriorate and prognosis is poor. As a result I have set up this page on givealittle to commence financial support for the family
I am involved because Greg and Fran are long term friends of the family. My husband has known Greg since they were little boys. Greg was a groomsman at our wedding and has brought fun, laughter and sincerity to our family over the years.
