Financial support for Kenny McFadden and family as he undergoes renal dialysis

Support Wellington Basketball legend Kenny McFadden a.k.a Mac Attack and his family through his battle with polycystic kidney disease.

Wellington

Kenny’s plight started several weeks ago when he was rushed to hospital with acute respiratory failure.

After a night of extreme medical intervention he pulled through, and was subsequently diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease.

This is a serious condition requiring regular dialysis until a suitable kidney donor can be found.

Since moving to New Zealand in the early 80's, Kenny has made a huge impact on Basketball in New Zealand both as a player and as a coach.

He has been a mentor and rolemodel for countless young Kiwis, guiding them to achieve their full potential both on and off the court.

Throughout this trying time he has managed to maintain a positive attitude with his big heart and smile however this illness has rendered him unable to work.

This is placing heavy financial strain on him and his partner which on top of regular visits to the hospital is making a tough time that much harder.

By creating this page we are attempting to raise funds to help with his quality of life and to ease the burden on his partner and family.

KEITH MCNABB's involvement (page creator)

This page has been created by friends and workmates of Kenny's partner Angelia Beamsley. Throughout this trying time she has maintained her usual sunny disposition.

She is a special person with a loving and caring attitude and we would like to show our support for her and Kenny.

It is our hope that this GiveALittle page will go some way towards relieving some of their financial pressures and contribute to both Kenny's medical care and also to their quality of life as a couple.

Use of funds

All funds will go towards his healthcare while he is on life time dialysis

Thank you  15 August 2017

We are overwhelmed by all the donations that everyone has contributed, reading all the loving comments bought tears to my eyes as I read one by one.

Thank you all from the bottom of our heart, Kenny's not much of a communicator off the basketball court so that's why I am typing this on behalf of us, his action speak louder then words.
