Help for Laura and Kids

  • Again, thank you.

      6 May 2017

Thank you a million times over. The response to this page has been mind boggling. Thank you for giving us the breathing space we will need to come to terms with our 'new normal' and figure out our next steps without Leslie. We have truly felt the love and support that so many have shared with us.

The boys are handling things remarkably well and although there are tears and tantrums they are getting through the days with unbelievable resilience. They get me out of bed each day and give me hope for the next.

Thank you also to the many many people who shared the celebration of Leslie's life with us on Sunday. There were so many kind people and I know Leslie would have loved the sheer amount of cake that we celebrated with (and would have been trying to sample each one!).

Thank you for giving me the strength to get through this.

    Laura

  • Thank you

      26 April 2017

Thank you to each and every person who contributed and thank you to the many others who have offered support in so many other ways. This horrific, awful, terrible, life-shattering event has been made more bearable due to the unending support from so many people.

I have read and cried over each and every comment and will be saving the stories for the boys when they are older so they can know just how great their dad really was.

There are no words to adequately express my gratitude, we knew we had found an amazing place living here in New Zealand, but we really didn't know how lucky we were.

We are organizing a celebration of life for Leslie at Westlake Girls High School in the hall at 2pm on Sunday April 30th. If you wish to join us Please no funeral clothes! Leslie went to more funerals than he liked growing up and always thought a party with lots of cake would be a better choice.

Hug those close to you tightly.

    Laura
