  • Admitted to the ward.

    We were admitted to the ward (still currently in the ward). With temps up to 39°. She went straight on high risk protocol which included starting iv antibiotics and bloods and cultures done as we knew she was neutropenic. She has been on the antibiotics since been admitted with no idea where the temps etc are coming from. Today she is having a haemoglobin transfusion and another platelet transfusion and carrying on antibiotics till tomorrow. She isn't allowed to leave her room as she could catch any bugs that are in the ward. This is very difficult for her but she seems to cope with it well, by reading books, drawing and watching movies.

  • Chemo

    Sophia had chemo on Monday and found out all her levels were low but still went on with chemo and had a platelet transfusion. Got send home on some antibiotics for an ear infection. We were told to expect to be admitted to the ward or have another transfusion later on in the week.
