    From Tony’s wife, Kylie:

Very sad news. Tony passed away Friday morning. I was there, by his side, hand on his heart. As you can imagine it has been incredibly sad and we are still making sense of things.

Emma and I are being very well supported by family and close friends.

I want to send out my heartfelt thanks to all of you for your kindness, generosity and support. Tony and I have been moved greatly by this and appreciated every kind gesture.

I know that there will be plenty of you who want to help out over the coming days and weeks. I would greatly appreciate at this point you give my family and I some time to grieve.

For those that leave messages, thank you; I’m not sure I’ll be able to read them for a while, but will get to them.

I look forward to seeing those that can make it for a celebration in Tony’s honour. I will be in touch again once the service details are confirmed, looking likely to be Easter Saturday.

Please note, in lieu of flowers we would love to pay it forward to Mary Potter Hospice. Words can't express the gratitude we feel towards this remarkable organisation. They were truly our saviour in our time of need. We will arrange for there to be a donation box at the service.

'I will hold his heart in my heart forever' xxx — with Tony Illston.
