Wendy has two types of cancers. She has breast cancer and a serious type of non-hodgkins lymphoma. She has already had one breast removed. Because Wendy has the Non-hodgkins lymphoma she needed to start chemotheropy straight after the removal of her breast. This means her immune system is very low and she keeps getting infections in the surgery site so she has been in and out of hospital.
Wendy lives off a benefit and has no spare money so this is adding more pressure to what she is already coping with. She is tired and very emotional. Wendy lives by herself. She has an adult son with a young family living down towards Wellington.
Wendy is trying to eat the right foods and is taking vitamin c to help her body cope with the chemo.
Wendy was diagnosed with this horrible sickness only 2 months before Christmas and has already lost 16kg, thank God for op shops.
Wendy is a very kind, caring and loving lady. She has helped many people in the past, putting herself last. She has a very deep love for God and is leaning very heavily onto Him.
Please help by giving a little. Any money will help her with day to day living and perhaps a cafe stop every now and then. Wendy is fighting for her life with everything she has.
I am involved because Wendy is a dear friend who has always been there for me. She lives alone and life is hard at the best of times. I am going to shave my hair off this Thursday in support for her. So she isn't the only bald person in her life.
Food, bills, day to day living.
