International
Habitat for Humanity’s 32nd annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project will take place Nov. 1-6, 2015, in Nepal.
Habitat for Humanity Nepal will host the event, which will bring President and Mrs. Carter together with thousands of volunteers for a weeklong build to help improve neighborhoods and raise awareness about affordable housing. This event is part of Habitat Nepal’s ambitious goal of helping 100,000 Nepali families have decent shelter by 2016.
There are 1000 International volunteers involved with New Zealand providing a massive 200.
Matt and Scotty will be directly involved in building homes for earthquake stricken communities. To date, more than 92,000 volunteers have built, renovated and repaired 3,943 homes in 14 countries during the previous 31 annual events, shedding light on the role decent housing provides families in breaking the cycle of poverty. Matt and Scotty wish to add to these numbers.
