Help Digger with tetanus get to his forever home

  • Day 15

Wow once they start improving they go in leaps and bonds. Digger is standing ap and running around, well kinda running. The legs on his left side are good. The back right leg is still stiff and straight but he has a little movement in that hip. His front right leg moves pretty good but he hyper flexes his ankle, this is an issue :-(. But this is more than likely a time thing to fix.

His stay will consist of another week if not two! Hopefully he will be back with us for Christmas ??

Digger today. He has improved heaps in the last two days. Today was the first day he could stand and balance on his own. He also rolled over by him self. Whilst standing and I had my hand balancing he took a single step. So happy. No more puppy with rigga and breathing ( easiest way to explain it )

Cone of shame is on because the drip is in his front leg and he chews through the cord ??? they change legs every few days. He is fine with it in the back legs, mind you he has got so much more active.

  • Day 8

Digger was a pain today! I saw him around 3 he is normally quiet stiff later in the day. But no, he had been yelling and trashing his bed all day. He can more his neck heaps now, but still not normally. He even moved his front leg today, trying to walk when they were standing him up. But that was only one movement. He is now frustrated with a body that won't work. The crys and trashes his cage by moving around on his side. Thus more Valium. So it's really go news ??????????

He also panted with his mouth open

  • Day 7 in hospital

      29 November 2016

Digger was a bit stiffer than he has been for the few days. Nothing wrong with his appetite though. Plowed through his lunch with the required stops to swallow.

A big shout out to Durable Medical Equipment who sent the wee boy down a Roho dog bed.
