Help get me to Natural Olympia International Championships in Las Vegas USA this November 2016.
Malo e Lelei, thank you for stopping by.
Please help get me to Natural Olympia International Championshios in Las Vegas, USA this November 2016.
This has been a dream come true to have qualified for the Natural Olympia International Championships this year representing the Kingdom of Tonga.
My dream started in 2011 when I weighed 152kgs and needed to do something about my weight. At first I started attending the gym to get me motivated about losing the extra pounds. But what really motivated me were the eye-catching, head-turning posters of physique and athletic persons staring at me from the walls of the gym. What I didn't realise is that what I was actually working towards was a healthy lifestyle, which lead me to taking up bodybuilding as a sport and dreamed about representing Tonga on a larger platform. Now weighing less than 100kgs this sport has encouraged me to continue living a healthy lifestyle and hopefully inspire others to live a healthy lifestyle also.
My first bodybuilding competition was in 2012, competing for the Mr Tonga Title of which I won.
I then competed at the South Pacific Bodybuilding Championships in 2103, 2014 and 2015 of which I also gained Gold medals for Tonga in each consecutive year.
This qualified me to compete in the South Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea 2015 representing Tonga of which I was a Gold Medalist there too.
I have also been humbled to have held the NABBA Waikato Championships Mr Physique for the last 2 years (2015-2016) .
Most recently, in August, I competed at the INBA South Pacific Natural Championships held in Taupo and won the Open Tall Mens Bodybuilding class and also the Overall Mens Bodybuilding.
With this most recent placing, it means I now qualify to compete at the Natural Olympia International Championships held in Las Vegas this November 2016, of which I will represent Tonga, with well over 50 other countries competing. This will be the first time Tonga enters the Natural Olympia International Championships.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and such a humbling experience for me to be able to represent Tonga at such an international scale as this. I believe this would be an awesome opportunity for me to represent our pasifika people. I know for sure I will be a great ambassador for Tonga, my home country and all pasifika. I have every confidence in this given my previous track history.
However, like every sportsman, if not sponsored or funded, getting to these championships comes at a very high cost, one which I cannot afford and therefore need your financial support to make this dream come true.
Whatever you can give whether big or small I will greatly appreciate it. As with your financial support this will help me with travelling (visa fees and airfares) costs, accommodation costs and competition registration costs. So every cent counts with only 9 weeks to go!
Again I thank you for taking the time and thank you for your donation. I pray God blesses you 100 times over.
