Over the weekend one of the Preschool Room tamariki, Martha, has fallen very unwell and was rushed to Starship hospital in Auckland. Her little body is fighting encephalitis - inflammation of the active tissues of the brain caused by an infection or an autoimmune response.
We want Martha and her family to feel the aroha (love), and know that we are here for them, and support them through this unknown and difficult time.
About us
We are an Early Learning Centre located in the small, rural community of Waimate. We have a unique philosophy fostering tamariki growth and development respectfully and meaningfully alongside animals and nature.
Use of funds
The money will be used by Martha's family for living costs while being so far away from home and not working so they are able to be there for Martha
