Update:. Greg is now at Hutt ICU. The plastics team are hoping to do a skin graft tomorrow to close his leg up! We're still asking that people don't visit him at this time.
An update for all - things have been pretty harrowing over the last few days - Greg was rushed to hospital on Friday night with an infection which turned out to be necrotizing fasciitis- he had surgery on Saturday and has been in ICU since then. The surgeons are pleased with their work - they checked again tonight and think they have removed all the affected tissue. The ICU staff are amazing and have contributed massively to saving Greg’s life. He is still being sedated and on a respirator but once he’s awake will be transferred to Hutt for plastic surgery. He is on the mend but it will take a while. A huge thank you to Nicola who has been a rock and to all Greg’s friends who have been supporting us 💜💜💜
