Helping Regan and Wendy Hutchins and their three beautiful children.

In August 2026, only days after his 38th birthday, Regan was diagnosed with incurable/terminal stage 4 adenocarcinoma lung cancer. A shock that is still being felt amongst family and friends. What started as just a cough that wouldn’t go away turned into back pain, breathing troubles and mobility issues with the cancer metastasizing to the hip, spine and liver.

To further complicate the situation, Regan had a hypoxia seizure following his cancer diagnosis, meaning he is no longer able to drive leaving the burden of transport to fall heavily on wife Wendy and extended family to support Regan getting to appointments and to help with ensuring their children are still able to get to school and activities.

Regan is a dad to three beautiful children, a loving husband, an eldest son, an older brother, and a not cringe uncle. A public servant who has spent the last 15 years serving New Zealand as a regulator both with the Department of Internal Affairs and New Zealand Police, focusing his career on making New Zealand a safer place for all.

We aren't looking to capitalize on this cancer, but are being realistic about costs.

Money raised will contribute to medical costs, travel expenses, specialist equipment and living expenses.
