Support Tamison Soppet as she represents New Zealand at the prestigious Prix de Lausanne in Switzerland in February 2026.
Canterbury
Tamison’s journey began long before she ever stepped into a studio or tied the ribbons of her first pair of ballet shoes. From the time she could walk, she danced — in the living room, down the hallway, anywhere music could reach her. What started as a childhood passion slowly grew into something far bigger: a dream that demanded discipline, resilience, and countless hours of sacrifice.
Tamison has been selected for one of the most prestigious ballet competitions in the world — an event often referred to as the “Ballet Olympics.” She is the only New Zealander chosen, and just one of two dancers across all of Australasia. This achievement alone reflects her extraordinary dedication and talent.
But extraordinary dreams come with extraordinary costs. While Tamison’s determination & talent have opened doors, getting her to this global stage requires significant financial support. Pointe shoes, for example, can cost hundreds and wear out within days under the pressure of elite training. Costumes must be custom-made. Then there are the hours of private coaching, additional strength & conditioning sessions, physio appointments, & rehearsals — all essential to prepare her for an opportunity of this scale.
On top of training expenses, the international travel alone is immense. Flights, accommodation, meals, and transport add up quickly.
Every contribution big or small makes a genuine difference.
Thank you for supporting Tamison and being part of her journey.
