Family mourning of fatal plane crash losing beloved father/husband

Many of you are probably coming to terms with the devasting news that tragically yesterday Tim Gibb was killed in a plane crash. This is devasting news and a great loss to our very close knit community. Tim Gibb known to many was not only a father to two very beautiful girls Sarah and Olivia but also a wonderful husband to Vanessa.
Tim was very well respected within the Franz Joseph community, being a deputy chief fire fighter who has given over 15/20 voluntary years to the service and his people, he was also the Civil Defence Officer for Franz.
Tim gave all of his time to everyone and anyone to ensure they always come first. Covid has been tough for this family who operate a small business Across Country Quad Bikes. We are reaching out to the community for your support to help with immediate expenses to bring Sarah home from Croatia to support Vanessa and Olivia so they can grieve together as a family.

We are so overwhelmed with the generosity of all of you. After 60 hours of travel and countless flight changes and delays, Sarah is now home with her family. Unfortunately, rescuers are not able to get to Tim until February when the snow melts. We are holding a memorial this Saturday at the Franz Josef Community Hall to celebrate Tim's life. Everyone is welcome.
