UNICEF says approximately 130 000 Zimbabwean children were traumatized by Cyclone Idai which hit parts of Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi in March 2019. Classrooms and books were destroyed at more than 144 schools, leaving the children with no reading material.
Books can help heal their Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders. The Zimbabwe Rural Schools Library Trust would like to ship a container of books from New Zealand to psychologically heal these children, and every $ counts.
The Zimbabwe Rural Schools Library Trust mobilizes and distributes reading material to underprivileged rural schools and encourages and supports the establishment and development of library services in identified underprivileged rural schools in Zimbabwe.
Shipment of a container of books from New Zealand to Zimbabwe, and taking the books to the schools.
