Inspire New Zealand is a 6 week personal development program, helping young kiwi's achieve excellence in all area’s of life. We do this by taking a holistic approach, focusing on topics aimed at improving mindset, health, personal and career goals.
Since our inception last year, we have helped a number of young kiwis, turn their lives around and start focusing on strategies, to achieve any goal they wish to pursue. We've helped them cope with a wide range of health issues including depression, anxiety, high blood pressure, cholesterol and weight loss. The program encompasses personal development workshops, that aims to improve mindset and goal setting (personal and career). We use strategies, from leading experts, that has been proven to work. Inspire New Zealand also encourages whanau to participate in these workshops.
Why are we seeking more funding?
We are seeking more funding, as we would like to expand our operations into more schools across Auckland. Through your support, we will use your contribution to go towards the program costs. In reaching our target, we will use all the funds to change the lives of 60 young kiwis. If we raise more funds, we will continue to expand our operations and support more kiwis! Our organisation purely runs on donations or support from local businesses.
The key area's we focus on:
Mindset: In these workshops, we aim to help young kiwis understand how they can start achieving their goals. We cover:
- Their mental blocks that prevents them from achieving their goals
- How to manage their thoughts including coping strategies
- Strategies to push through their fear of achievement
- Science behind their thoughts and habits
- Their blueprint to success
Health Program: We know the facts in regards to obesity (approximately 1 in 4 kiwi kids are obese) and believe this program will reduce this epidemic. Our focus is to not only educate kids how to live a healthier lifestyle but also their whanau and wider community. We provide weekly fitness sessions (using qualified personal trainers) and nutritional advice. From our research, their is a correlation between getting healthier and how this (being healthier) can influence your thoughts and results.
Personal Goals: We work with each participant to create a roadmap towards achieving their personal goals. These goals can vary but the process we use, applies to any goal.
Career Goals: We firstly work with each participant to identify their area's of interest. Then we use this to find potential career options, taking into account their current school subjects. We will then work with them to identify pathways into various tertiary providers (universities, polytechs, PTE's etc). The second part is to help student to get into voluntary or paid work experience. We work with them to find opportunities available within their area of interest. Personal branding is a key component of this and we help each student CV and Cover Letters.
These funds will be used to deliver the program over six weeks including:
- 2 weekly PD sessions (mindset, personal and career goal setting)
- 2 weekly personal training sessions (with a qualified trainer)
- Nutritional Advice and Plan
- Course materials
