Help Odessa Beat The Big C!!!

  • Round TWO: Welcoming CHEMO with a CLASSY haircut!

After a month since her right mastectomy, Odessa has recovered well from surgery. Her bombshell (JP) drain is out of the picture, her bruises has gone and her two boobies is getting more identical everyday! Praise God and thanks a bunch to her fantastic surgeons!

She has finally met her Oncologist (cancer doctor) few weeks ago and has given her the regimen for chemotherapy. The initial plan of 4 to 6 cycles of chemo turned into 15 cycles. This was based on the markers from her biopsy. Though we were saddened by the length of her treatment, we know that it will do the best for her and cure her completely. (In Jesus' name!)

With the length of her chemo cycles also comes the expense of the treatment. One drug was particularly expensive, called HERCEPTIN, which would cost P80,000 per cycle. She would need this starting on her 4th cycle and all the way through her 15th cycle.

    This is her chemo regimen:

    1st to 3rd cycle - 5FU +Epirubicin +Cyclophosphamide (FEC) + Granisetron

    4th to 6th cycle - Paclitaxel + Herceptin

    7th to 15th cycle - Herceptin

Next 5 years - Oral Tamoxifen

She is now scheduled for her 1st chemo on Dec 2, 2017. Kindly whisper a prayer for her that she may cured from the good effects of her medications and be protected from the bad side effects.

We thank you for all the support, kindness and generosity we have received. We continue to knock in your hearts to help her with with her medical expenses. God bless you all!

  • Round ONE: MASTECTOMY and BREAST RECONSTRUCTION done!

      27 October 2017

Odessa bravely went through her surgery last October 23, 2017. The operation lasted 7 hours which consisted of Modified Radical Mastectomy and Breast reconstruction.

Even after experiencing dreadful post-anesthesia effects (severe headache, nausea and vomiting), she kept a smile and a fighting spirit. :) God continued to heal her and gave her strength to recover quickly.

In the first 2 days after her surgery, her doctors were a bit worried when they found 2 bruises (hematoma) on her wound site.. fearing Dessa might need another surgery to evacuate the hematoma. But God is our Divine physician, our Jehovah Rapha.. and the next day the bruising improved and Dessa was discharged from the hospital!!!

She is now recovering well at home and continue to be healed by our dear Jesus <3 We fervently pray for her complete healing, recovery and strength in preparation for the NEXT ROUND --> Chemo. We thank you all for your prayers, moral support and financial help! :)

P.S. Doctors also informed that her LYMPH NODES are NEGATIVE of cancer cells... Praise Jesus! yey! :D #thankyouLord #miracleaftermiracle #strongerthancancer
