Help Save Laska

  • Outcome of Laska's case

      20 June 2017

From Lisa: Just an update on laska, we went to court Tuesday before last and we used legal aid, we were informed that there was new evidence of Laska killing Weka, we did not see this evidence but however we were advised to plead guilty and take the smaller fine as the lawyer said this was best for Laska aswell as we had a condition of re homing her, we have been busy tryingto rehome her locally and have now found someone in Paihia who is willing to take her with fenced property, he is waiting approval from council. Martin and I have decided to pay our fine and use the money from the give a little page for her re-homing: getting her updated with shots, flea and worm treatment, checked out by a vet, and give her the best start in her new home. Whatever is left we plan to help SPCA and Sue Dennis as I am of the understanding she is starting a dog rescue.

This was not the outcome we were hoping for, but we thank you all for your amazing support.
