    We have a new quote and hopefully the surgery will cost between $700-900. Including consults I'm hoping not much more than $1,000! :-D

    All going well she will go in for surgery in the next couple of weeks. I will keep you updated.

    After a lot of research and speaking with many experts we have decided to go ahead with the amputation. The risk is high - but we need to put her welfare first and leaving her with a broke femur is just not an option.
