Having found temporary accommodation will enable the family to care for the stock on the farm and start the clean up

Just to answer a question raised the family home was insured but the contents of the home are not. Nothing can replace their precious family treasures but the help of give a little when a permanent home is reestablished the family will be able to purchase the basic household items to restart their life - this is going to take months.

The family are grateful and take encouragement at this very stressful time of the many messages and donations of support.

From the Scott Family - Hi, I'm Justin Andrews - John's Son in Law and married to Kathleen (not Cathrine). The family would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that has contributed to this fund and we will be doing updates showing what it is contributing towards. The House Insurance (as you know, there was no contents insurance) covers temporary accommodation and one of the dog showing people graciously offered the caravan to help with this. Again, the Dog Showing community, the animal lovers of New Zealand, and the wider New Zealand community has shown great support and understanding for our family and we can't thank you enough. The greatest tragedy has been the loss of the show dogs that were also family pets with the two puppies having only gone up to the farm in the last two weeks before the fire.
